ROOT VPN on Mac

ROOT for Mac is in the works as a native macOS app for both Apple silicon and Intel machines, sitting in your menu bar for a one-click connect. It is not out yet, so the button below takes you to the current download options.

When it lands it will carry the full ROOT feature set: all four protocols, a kill-switch, auto-connect on untrusted Wi-Fi, and DNS-level ad and tracker blocking, all under the same account you can create today.

How to set up on Mac

In the meantime, you can protect a Mac by adding a ROOT connection through macOS network settings, or use a supported browser extension for browser traffic.
When the native app arrives, download it from the ROOT site and open it from Applications.
