ROOT VPN on iPhone and iPad

ROOT for iOS is in development as a native iPhone and iPad app, built around a single tap to connect and Apple's on-demand VPN so it protects you automatically on untrusted networks. It is not on the App Store yet, so the button below shows current options.

It will use the same account you can create today, with all four protocols and per-network auto-connect so your phone is secured the moment it joins open Wi-Fi.

How to set up on iPhone and iPad

A few steps and you are connected. No technical know-how needed.

  1. Create a free ROOT account now so it is ready when the iOS app launches.
  2. Until then, you can add a ROOT VPN profile in the iOS Settings app under General, VPN and Device Management.
  3. When the app ships, install it from the App Store and open it.
  4. Sign in, allow the VPN configuration when iOS asks, pick a country and tap connect.
