The problem

Every site you visit sees your IP address, which maps to a rough location and, through your ISP, back to you. Your ISP can log the domains you reach, advertisers stitch your behaviour into a profile, and data brokers buy and sell the result.

Worse, some free VPNs are part of that machine. They log your activity and monetise it, which is the exact opposite of what you signed up for.

How ROOT VPN fixes it

ROOT swaps your IP for a shared server address and encrypts your traffic, so sites see the exit rather than you and your ISP can no longer log the domains you visit. Trackers lose the stable IP they use to follow you around.

Can my ISP still see what I do with a VPN?
No. Once ROOT is connected, your ISP sees an encrypted tunnel to a single server and can no longer log the individual sites you visit. ROOT itself keeps no activity logs either.
How is ROOT different from a free VPN that logs me?
Some free VPNs fund themselves by recording and selling your activity. ROOT does not. We keep no activity logs, so there is no browsing history to store, hand over or sell.
Does a VPN make me anonymous?
